Endo-1,4-beta-mannanase (EC 3.2.1.78)
Additive composition
Preparation of endo-1,4-beta-mannanase (EC 3.2.1.78) produced with Thermothelomyces thermophilus DSM 33149 having a minimum activity of: 8 000 TMU/g ( 1 ) .
Solid form and Liquid form
Characterisation of the active substance
Endo-1,4-beta-mannanase (EC 3.2.1.78) produced with Thermothelomyces thermophilus DSM 33149
Analytical method
( 2 )
For the determination of the endo-1,4-beta-mannanase activity in the feed additive, premixtures and compound feed:
—
Enzymatic hydrolysis of dyed carob galactomannan with endo-1,4-beta-mannanase followed by photometry.
All poultry species for fattening
Ornamental birds
-
800 TMU
-
1.
In the directions for use of the additive and premixture, the storage conditions and stability to heat treatment shall be indicated.
2.
For users of the additive and premixtures, feed business operators shall establish operational procedures and organisational measures to address the potential risks resulting from their use. Where those risks cannot be eliminated by such procedures and measures, the additive and premixtures shall be used with personal breathing and skin protective equipment.

( 1 ) One Thermostable Mannanase Unit (TMU) is defined as the amount of enzyme that produces reducing carbohydrates having a reducing power corresponding to 1 μΜ mannose from locust bean gum (0,3 g/100 mL buffer solution) in 1 min at 50 °C and pH 3,5.
