Sebastien UWIMBABAZI (alias: a) Gilbert Kimenyi b) Nyembo Kimenyi) Designation: Brigadier General and Leader of the Democratic Forces for the Liberation of Rwanda (FDLR). DOB: 1968. POB: Gatoki Cell, Murunda Sector, Rutsiro Commune, Kibuye Prefecture, Rwanda. Nationality: Rwanda. Address: Rutshuru, North Kivu, Democratic Republic of the Congo. Gender: Male. Date of UN designation: 14 July 2026. Other information: Sebastien Uwimbabazi has and continues to engage in or provide support for acts that undermine the peace, stability and security of the DRC. He also oversees the group’s external logistics.
