Article 6

1. In accordance with Article 228 of the Treaty, the Community may conclude cooperation agreements with third countries within the framework of the programme. 2. The Commission shall be authorized to negotiate the cooperation agreements referred to in paragraph 1 after having sought the opinion of the STIDC for this purpose in accordance with Annex II (3) (c).
