Definition of the measure
Article 28
1. Subject to the condition referred to in paragraph 1 of Article 18 of Regulation (EC) No 479/2008, and within the limit of the available budget, referred to in paragraphs 4 and 5 of the same Article, Member States which open a crisis distillation on a part or on the entirety of their territory, for one or more wine categories, on the basis of objective and non-discriminatory criteria, shall inform the Commission through a modification of their support programmes. 2. Member States may require that this distillation is made compulsory for a part or for the entirety of their producers, on the basis of objective and non-discriminatory criteria. 3. Member States shall adopt detailed rules for applying the measure provided for in this Article.
