Article 17
1. In order to minimise any adverse impacts, the Parties hereby agree to develop a better understanding of the livelihoods of potentially affected indigenous and local communities, including those engaged in illegal logging. 2. The Parties shall monitor the impact of this Agreement on those communities, while taking reasonable steps to mitigate any adverse effects. The Parties may agree on additional measures to address such adverse effects.
