General provisions
Article 2
1. Member States shall ensure that propagating material and fruit plants belonging to the genera and species listed in Annex I to Directive 2008/90/EC comply, during production and marketing, with Articles 3 to 27 of this Directive, as appropriate. 2. Member States shall ensure that, during production of propagating material and fruit plants belonging to the genera and species listed in Annex I to Directive 2008/90/EC, suppliers comply with the requirements set out in Articles 28 and 29. 3. Member States shall ensure that, during production and marketing, propagating material and fruit plants, belonging to the genera and species listed in Annex I to Directive 2008/90/EC, are officially inspected in accordance with Article 30. 4. Propagating material that fulfils the requirements of a certain category shall not be mixed with material of other categories.
