Penalties

Article 14

Member States shall lay down the rules on penalties applicable to infringements of national provisions adopted pursuant to this Directive and shall take all measures necessary to ensure that they are implemented. In particular, Member States shall lay down rules on penalties, including financial penalties, against air carriers which do not transmit data as provided for in Article 8 or do not do so in the required format. The penalties provided for shall be effective, proportionate and dissuasive.
