ANNEX V SECURITY REQUIREMENTS 1. HTTPS must always be used for the exchange of messages between the central hub and the national systems. 2. National systems will use the PKI certificates provided by the Commission for the purposes of securing the transmission of messages between the national system and the hub. 3. National systems shall implement, as a minimum, certificates using the SHA-2 (SHA-256) signature hash algorithm and a 2 048 bit public key length.
