Common Location Database

Article 15

1.   The Commission shall establish a common location database that contains a reference list of location codes  ( 14 ) and port facility codes, as registered in the IMO database GISIS. 2.   The Commission shall ensure the availability of the location database to the maritime National Single Windows in order to facilitate ship reporting. 3.   Member States shall make information from the location database available at national level through the maritime National Single Window. 4.   The Commission shall adopt implementing acts laying down the technical specifications, standards and procedures for the setting up of the common location database referred to in paragraph 1 with respect to collecting, storing, updating and provision of the location and port facility codes. Those implementing acts shall be adopted in accordance with the advisory procedure referred to in Article 24(2). The first such implementing act shall be adopted by 15 August 2021.
