(1) This Act may be cited as the Copyright Act Short title, 1969. (2) This Act shall apply throughout Malaysia. commencement and application. (3) This Act shall come into operation on a date to be appointed by the Minister by notification in the Gazette, and different dates may be so appointed for different provisions of this Act. (4) This Act shall apply in relation to works made before the commencement of this Act as it applies in relation to works made thereafter.
(1) Akta ini bolehlah dinamakan. Akta Hakcipta mula ber- (2) Akta in: hendaklah dipakai di selüruh Malaysia. pemakaian. (3) Akta ini hendaklah mula berkuatkuasa pada suatu tarikh yang akan ditetapkan oleh Menteri melalui pemberıtahu dalam Warta, dan tarikh-tarıkh yang berlainan boleh ditetapkan sedemikian bagi peruntukanperuntukan Akta ını yang berlaınan. (4) Akta ini hendaklah dipakai berkenaan dengan karya yang dibuat sebelum Akta ini mula berkuatkuasa sebagaimana ia dipakai berkenaan dengan karya yang dibuat kemudiannya.
