Copyright in a broadcast shall be the exclusive right to control the doing in Malaysia of any of the following acts, namely, the recording, the reproducing and the rebroadcasting of the whole or a substantial part of the broadcast and the communication to the public, in places where an admission fee is charged, of the whole or a substantial part of a television broadcast, either in its orıgınal form or in any form recognizably derived Provided that-
(a) the provisions of paragraphs (a), (g), (j), (n) and
(a) of the proviso to subsection (1) of section 8 of this Act shall apply to the copyright in a broadcast in like manner as they apply to copyright in a literary, musical or artistic work or a cinematograph film;
(b) the copyright in a television broadcast shall include the right to control the taking of still photographs from such broadcasts. First ownership

Hakcipta mengenai sesuatu siaran ialah hak mutlak mengawai perlakuan dalam Malaysia mana-mana perbuatan berikut, iaitu, perakaman, pengeluaran ulangan dan penyiaran ulangan kesemua atau sebahagian matan siaran itu dan juga penyampaian kepada awam, di tempat di mana bayaran masuk dikenakan, kesemua atau sebahagian matan sesuatu siaran talivisyen, sama ada dalam bentuk asalnya atau dalam apa-apa bentuk yang boleh dikenali sebagai didapati daripada yang asalnya: Dengan syarat bahawa
(a) peruntukan-peruntukan perenggan (a), (g), (J),
(n) dan (q) mengenai syarat bagi seksyen-kecil
(1) seksyen 8 Akta ini hendaklah dipakai bagi hakcipta mengenai siaran sama seperti peruntukan-peruntukan itu dipakai bagi hakcipta mengenai karya sastera, muzik atau seni atau filem wayang gambar;
(b) hakcipta mengenai siaran talivisyen adalah termasuk hak mengawal pengambilan gambarfoto tak bergerak siaran-siaran itu.
