Government Contracts Act 1949 s 2

s 2 Contracts on behalf of the Government

All contracts made in Malaysia on behalf of the Government shall, if reduced to writing, be made in the name of the Government of Malaysia and may be signed by a Minister or by any public officer duly authorized in writing by a Minister, either specially in any particular case, or generally for all contracts below a certain value in his department or otherwise as may be specified in the authorization.

Kontrak bagi pihak Kerajaan

Semua kontrak yang dibuat di Malaysia bagi pihak Kerajaan hendaklah, jika diubah ke dalam bentuk bertulis, dibuat atas nama Kerajaan Malaysia dan boleh ditandatangani oleh Menteri atau oleh mana-mana pegawai awam yang diberi kuasa dengan sewajarnya secara bertulis oleh Menteri, sama ada secara khusus dalam manamana hal tertentu, atau secara am bagi semua kontrak di bawah nilai tertentu di jabatannya atau selainnya sebagaimana yang dinyatakan dalam pemberikuasaan itu.
