s 49 Delegation
(1) The Director General may by order delegate any of his powers, duties and functions under this Act with respect to the issue of licences, the investigation of offences and the enforcement of this Act to any public officer, any Government Department, any local authority or any committee of persons appointed by him.
(2) Where the Director General has delegated any power to any Government Department, to any local authority or to any committee, any officer of such Government Department or local authority or any member of such committee may exercise any of the powers which the Director General would be able to do had he been exercising the power himself.
(3) Nothing in this section shall preclude the Director General from any responsibility to protect the environment and from administering this Act.
(4) A delegation may be revoked or varied at any time by the Director General.

(1) Ketua Pengarah boleh dengan perintah mewakilkan Perwakilan. mana-mana daripada kuasa-kuasa, . kewajıpan-kewajipan aan tugas-tugasnya di bawah Akta ini berkenaan dengan pengeluaran lesen-lesen, penyiasatan kesalahan-kesalahan dan penguatkuasaan Akta ini kepada mana-mana pegawai awam, mana-mana Jahatan Kerajaan, mana-mana pihakberkuasa tempatan atau mana-mana jawatankuasa yang terdiri daripada orang-orang yang dilantik olehnya.
(2) Jika Ketua Pengarah telah mewakilkan apa-apa ‹uasa kepada mana-mana Jabatan Kerajaan, mana-man pihakberkuasa tempatan atau mana-mana jawatankuasa, kuasa itu boleh menjalankan mana-mana daripada kuasasekiranya ia telah menjalankan kuasa itu sendiri.
(3) Tiada apa-apa jua dalam seksyen ini boleh melepas- Kan Kerta Pengi alam sekedang d-an daripgungjavab bagi kan Akta ini.
(4) Sesuatu perwakilan boleh dibatalkan atau di ubah pada bila-bila masa oleh Ketua Pengarah. :.
