Carriage by Air Act 1974 s 1
s 1 Short title, application and commencement
(1) This Act may be cited as the Carriage By Air Act 1974 and shall extend throughout Malaysia.
(2) Except as provided in subsection (3), this Act shall come into force on such day as the Yang di-Pertuan Agong may by order certify to be the day on which the Convention comes into force as regards Malaysia.
(3) Section 11 shall come into force on such day as the Yang di-Pertuan Agong may by order certify to be the day on which the Supplementary Convention comes into force as regards Malaysia.

Tajuk ringkas, pemakaian dan permulaan kuat kuasa
(1) Akta ini bolehlah dinamakan Akta Pengangkutan Melalui Udara 1974 dan hendaklah dipakai di seluruh Malaysia.
(2) Kecuali sebagaimana diperuntukkan dalam subseksyen (3), Akta ini hendaklah mula berkuat kuasa pada hari yang diperakui oleh Yang di-Pertuan Agong dengan perintah sebagai hari Konvensyen itu mula berkuat kuasa berkenaan dengan Malaysia.
(3) Seksyen 11 hendaklah mula berkuat kuasa pada hari yang diperakui oleh Yang di-Pertuan Agong dengan perintah sebagai hari Konvensyen Tambahan mula berkuat kuasa berkenaan dengan Malaysia.
