(1) Whenever a dangerous pest, or any plant diseased by a dangerous pest, is found or appears on any land, the owner or occupier of such land shall—
(a) as soon as he becomes aware that the same has been found or has appeared thereon forthwith give notice thereof in writing or otherwise to the Director or to any Inspecting Officer with such particulars as may be prescribed;
(b) carry into effect all instructions given to him by any Inspecting Officer for the destruction of the dangerous pest or plants diseased by a dangerous pest on such land; and
(c) render all assistance in his power towards the carrying out of any action taken by any Inspecting Officer for the purpose of destroying the dangerous pest or plants diseased by a dangerous pest on such land.
(2) Any person who commits a breach of subsection (1) shall be guilty of an offence and shall, on conviction, be liable to a fine not exceeding ten thousand ringgit.
(3) Any Inspecting Officer receiving any notice in accordance with paragraph (1)(a) shall inform the Director of such notice.

(1) Apabila sesuatu makhluk perosak berbahaya, atau sesuatu tumbuhan berpenyakit disebabkan oleh suat Suatu apabila makhluk makhluk perosak berbahaya, dijumpai atau berada di atas mana-mana tanah, maka pemunya atau penduduk tanahberbanaya berada. itu hendaklah-
(a)selepas sahaja ia menyedari bahawa makhluk perosak itu telah dijumpai atau telah berada di atasnya, dengan segera memberi notis mengenainya secara bertulis atau selainnya kepada Pengarah atau kepada seseorang Pegawai Pemeriksa berserta apaapa butir yang ditetapkan;
(6) menjalankan semua arahan yang diberi kepadanya oleh seseorang Pegawai Pemeriksa bagi memusnahkan makhluk perosak berbahaya atau tumbuhantumbuhan yang berpenyakit disebabkan oleh sesuatu makhluk perosak berbahaya di atas tanah itu; dan
(c) memberi segala bantuan yang ada padanya terhadap penjalanan apa-apa tindakan yang diambil oleh seseorang Pegawai Pemeriksa bagi maksud memusnahkan makhluk perosak berbahaya atau tumbuhantumbuhan yang berpenyakit disebabkan oleh sesuatu makhluk perosak berbahaya di atas tanah itu.
(2) Seseorang yang melanggar peruntukan-peruntukan seksyen-kecil (1) adalah bersalah atas suatu kesalahan dan boleh, apabila disabitkan, dikenakan denda tidak lebih daripada sepuluh ribu ringgit.
(3) Seseorang Pegawai Pemeriksa yang menerima sesuatu notis mengikut peruntukan-peruntukan perenggan (a) seksyen-kecil (1) hendaklah memberitahu Pengarah mengenai notis itu.
