s 33 Obligation of secrecy

(1) Except for the purpose of this Act or of any criminal proceedings under this Act, a member of the Board, or the Vice- Chancellor, or a member of the staff or agent of the Universiti shall not disclose any information in respect of the Universiti which is not published in pursuance of this Act. (2) Any person contravening the provisions of subsection (1) shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a term of imprisonment not exceeding six months or to a fine not exceeding one thousand ringgit, or to both.

Obligasi merahsiakan

(1) Kecuali bagi maksud Akta ini atau bagi maksud mana-mana prosiding jenayah di bawah Akta ini, seseorang anggota Lembaga, atau Naib Canselor, atau seseorang anggota kakitangan atau ejen Universiti tidak boleh menzahirkan apa-apa maklumat berkenaan dengan Universiti yang tidak disiarkan menurut Akta ini. (2) M a n a - m a n a o r a n g y a n g m e l a n g g a r p e r u n t u k a n subseksyen (1) melakukan suatu kesalahan dan boleh, apabila disabitkan, dipenjarakan selama tempoh tidak melebihi enam bulan atau didenda tidak melebihi satu ribu ringgit, atau kedua-duanya.
