In this Part, unless the context otherwise requires— “ITM” means the Institut Teknologi MARA established by MARA and existing immediately before the appointed date; “MARA” means the Majlis Amanah Rakyat established by the Majlis Amanah Rakyat Act 1966 [Act 489]. *NOTE—Words “and discipline” in paragraph 35(2)(b) and (e) are not yet in force–see Act A964 and P.U. (B) 461/1996.

Dalam Bahagian ini, melainkan jika konteksnya menghendaki makna yang lain— “ITM” ertinya Institut Teknologi MARA yang ditubuhkan oleh MARA dan yang sedia ada sebaik sebelum tarikh yang ditetapkan; “MARA” ertinya Majlis Amanah Rakyat yang ditubuhkan oleh Akta Majlis Amanah Rakyat 1966 [Akta 489].
