s 39 Existing contracts
Subject to the provisions of this Act, and to any direction of the Minister, all deeds, bonds, agreements, instruments and working arrangements subsisting immediately before the appointed date and affecting any of the property transferred under section 38 shall be of full force and effect against or in favour of the Universiti established by this Act and enforceable fully and effectually as if, instead of—
(a) MARA in respect of ITM;
(b) any person on behalf of MARA in respect of ITM;
(c) ITM; or
(d) any person on behalf of ITM,
the Universiti established by this Act had been named therein or had been a party thereto.

Kontrak yang sedia ada
Tertakluk pada peruntukan Akta ini dan apa-apa arahan Menteri, semua surat ikatan, bon, perjanjian, surat cara dan perkiraan kerja yang wujud sebaik sebelum tarikh yang ditetapkan dan yang menyentuh mana-mana harta yang dipindahkan hak milik di bawah seksyen 38 hendaklah terus berkuat kuasa dan berkesan sepenuhnya terhadap atau berpihak kepada Universiti yang ditubuhkan di bawah Akta ini dan boleh dikuatkuasakan secara sepenuhnya dan berkesan seolah-olah Universiti yang ditubuhkan oleh Akta ini telah dinamakan dalamnya atau telah menjadi satu pihak kepadanya sebagai menggantikan—
(a) MARA berkenaan dengan ITM;
(b) mana-mana orang bagi pihak MARA berkenaan dengan ITM;
(c) ITM; atau
(d) mana-mana orang bagi pihak ITM.
