s 42 Continuance of officers and servants
(1) Every person who immediately before the appointed date was employed as an officer or servant of MARA serving in ITM shall, on that date, be deemed to have been employed by the Universiti established by this Act as if the said Universiti had existed prior to that date throughout the service of such officer or servant in ITM.
(2) Every person who immediately before the appointed date was employed as an officer or servant of MARA serving in ITM shall on that date be employed as an officer or servant, as the case may be, of the Universiti established by this Act upon terms and conditions of service not less favourable than those obtaining immediately before the appointed date.
(3) This section is enacted for national purposes.

Penerusan pegawai dan pekhidmat
(1) Tiap-tiap orang yang sebaik sebelum tarikh yang ditetapkan telah diambil kerja sebagai seorang pegawai atau pekhidmat MARA yang berkhidmat dengan ITM hendaklah, pada tarikh itu, disifatkan telah diambil kerja oleh Universiti yang ditubuhkan oleh Akta ini seolah-olah Universiti itu telah wujud terdahulu dari tarikh itu sepanjang perkhidmatan pegawai atau pekhidmat itu dengan ITM.
(2) Tiap-tiap orang yang sebaik sebelum tarikh yang ditetapkan telah diambil kerja sebagai seorang pegawai atau pekhidmat MARA yang berkhidmat dengan ITM hendaklah, pada tarikh itu, diambil kerja sebagai seorang pegawai atau pekhidmat, mengikut mana-mana yang berkenaan, bagi Universiti yang ditubuhkan oleh Akta ini atas terma dan syarat perkhidmatan yang tidak kurang baiknya daripada yang didapati sebaik sebelum tarikh yang ditetapkan.
(3) Seksyen ini diperbuat bagi maksud negara.
