s 4 Authority to administer oaths and affirmations
All courts and persons having, by law, or by order of reference by any court, or by consent of parties, authority to receive evidence are authorized to administer, by themselves or by an officer empowered by them in that behalf, oaths and affirmations in discharge of the duties or in exercise of the powers conferred upon them respectively as aforesaid.
*NOTE—All references to “West Malaysia” shall be construed as references to “Peninsular Malaysia”– see Interpretation (Amendment) Act 1997 [Act A996], s. 5(2).

Kuasa untuk mengendalikan sumpah dan ikrar
Semua mahkamah dan orang yang mempunyai, mengikut undangundang, atau dengan perintah rujukan oleh mana-mana mahkamah, atau dengan persetujuan pihak-pihak, kuasa untuk menerima keterangan adalah diberi kuasa untuk mengendalikan, oleh mereka sendiri atau oleh pegawai yang diberi kuasa oleh mereka bagi maksud itu, sumpah dan ikrar dalam melaksanakan kewajipan atau *CATATAN—Semua sebutan mengenai “Malaysia Barat” hendaklah ditafsirkan sebagai sebutan mengenai “Semenanjung Malaysia”–lihat Akta Tafsiran (Pindaan) 1997 [Akta A996], s. 5(2).
