Arms Act 1960 s 44

s 44 Rewards to informers

In case of a conviction involving a fine under any section of this Act or under any regulations made thereunder it shall be lawful for the court inflicting the fine to direct, on the application of the prosecution, that any part thereof, not exceeding one-half— (a) shall be paid to any person who has given such information to the police as has led to the conviction of the offender or offenders; or (b) shall be divided, in such proportions as the court may direct, among any persons who have given such information.
