s 87 Declarations to give a full and true account

The declarations referred to in sections 81, 82, 83, 84, 85 and 86 shall give a full and true account of the particulars for which provision is made in the respective prescribed forms: Provided that, if, in the case of imported goods, any of the particulars required be unknown to the importer thereof, delivery of such goods may be given on a written undertaking of the importer or his agent to furnish the necessary information to the proper officer of customs or station-master, as the case may be, within ten days of such undertaking or such further period as the proper officer of customs may allow and if the importer or his agent fails to furnish the information as required by the undertaking he shall be deemed to have failed to make the required declaration.

Akuan-akuan yang disebut Jalam seksyen 81, 82, 83, 84, 85 dan 86 hendaklah memberi suatu laporan yang ditetapkan masing-masing: Dengan syarat bahawa, jika, dalam hal barangbarak ianta di oor, pagapa brt baang diarang daki, penyerahan barang-barang itu boleh dibuat atas suatu akujanji bertulis oleh pengimport atau ejennya untuk memberikan maklumat yang perlu kepada pegawai kastam yang hak atau ketua stesen keretapi, mengikut mana-mana yang berkenaan, dalam masa sepuluh hari dari tarikh akujanji itu atau sesuatu tempoh selanjutnya yang dibenarkan oleh pegawai kastam yang hak itu dan jika pengimport atau ejennya gagal memberikan maklumat sebagaimana yang dikehendaki oleh akujanji itu dia dianggap gagal membuat akuan yang dikehendaki itu.
