Debtors Act 1957 s 16
(1) A surety for the appearance of a defendant may at anytime apply to the court to be discharged from his obligation and on such application the court shall summon the defendant to appear, or may issue an order for his arrest. (2) On the appearance of a defendant pursuant to any such summons or order, the court shall discharge the surety from his obligation and call upon the defendant to furnish fresh security.
Prosedur atas permohonan oleh penjamin supaya dilepaskan
(1) Seseorang penjamin bagi kehadiran seseorang defendan boleh pada bila-bila masa memohon kepada mahkamah supaya dilepaskan daripada obligasinya dan atas permohonan tersebut mahkamah hendaklah memanggil defendan supaya hadir, atau boleh mengeluarkan perintah bagi menangkapnya. (2) Atas kehadiran defendan menurut apa-apa saman atau perintah sedemikian, mahkamah hendaklah melepaskan penjamin itu daripada obligasinya dan memanggil defendan untuk memberi jaminan baru.
