The Adoption of Children Ordinance of the Straits Settlements [S.S. No. 18 of 1939] is repealed:
Provided that all register and books maintained and kept under the said Ordinance shall be transferred to the Registrar General and a certified copy of any entry in the Adopted Children Register established and maintained under the said Ordinance shall, if purporting to be given under the hand of the Registrar General, be received in evidence as if it were a certified copy of an entry given under the provisions of this Act.

O r d i n a n P e n g a n g k a t a n A n a k N e g e r i - N e g e r i S e l a t [n.n.S. No. 18 tahun 1939] dimansuhkan:
Dengan syarat bahawa semua daftar dan buku yang disenggarakan dan disimpan di bawah Ordinan tersebut hendaklah dipindahkan kepada Pendaftar Besar dan suatu salinan terperaku apa-apa catatan dalam Daftar Anak Angkat yang diadakan dan disenggarakan di bawah Ordinan tersebut hendaklah, jika berupa sebagai diberikan di bawah tandatangan Pendaftar Besar, diterima sebagai keterangan seolah-olah ia suatu salinan terperaku bagi catatan yang diberikan di bawah peruntukan Akta ini.
