s 61 Duty to keep registers

(1) Every employer shall prepare and keep one or more registers containing such information regarding each employee employed by him as may be prescribed by regulations made under this Act. (2) Every such register shall be preserved for such period that every particular recorded therein shall be available for inspection for not less than six years after the recording thereof. (3) Notwithstanding subsections (1) and (2), the Director General, on a written application by an employer, may permit the employer to keep the information required under subsection (1) in any other manner as may be approved by the Director General subject to such conditions as he may deem fit to impose.
