Food Act 1983 s 14
s 14 Prohibition against sale of food not of the nature, substance or quality demanded
(1) Any person who sells any food which is not of the nature, or is not of the substance, or is not of the quality (as specified under this Act and any regulation made thereunder) of the food demanded by the purchaser, commits an offence and is liable on conviction to imprisonment for a term not exceeding five years or to fine or to both.
(2) Where regulations made under this Act contain provisions prescribing the standard of any food or the composition of, or prohibiting or restricting the addition of, any substance to any food, a purchaser of the food shall, unless the contrary be proved, be deemed for the purpose of this section to have demanded food complying with the provisions of such regulations.

Larangan terhadap penjualan makanan yang bukan daripada jenis, bahan atau kualiti yang diminta
(1) Mana-mana orang yang menjual apa-apa makanan yang bukannya daripada jenis, atau bukannya daripada bahan atau bukannya daripada kualiti (sebagaimana dinyatakan di bawah Akta ini atau mana-mana peraturan yang dibuat di bawahnya) bagi makanan yang diminta oleh pembeli melakukan suatu kesalahan dan apabila disabitkan boleh dipenjarakan selama tempoh tidak melebihi lima tahun atau didenda atau kedua-duanya.
(2) Jika peraturan-peraturan yang dibuat di bawah Akta ini mengandungi peruntukan yang menetapkan standard apa-apa makanan atau komposisi atau melarang atau menyekat penambahan apa-apa bahan kepada apa-apa makanan maka pembeli makanan itu hendaklah, melainkan jika dibuktikan sebaliknya, disifatkan bagi maksud seksyen ini sebagai telah meminta makanan yang mematuhi peruntukan peraturan-peraturan yang sedemikian itu.
