(1) An invention means an idea of an inventor which permits in practice the solution to a specific problem in the field of technology. (2) An invention may be or may relate to a product or process.

(1) Sesuatu reka cipta ertinya sesuatu ilham daripada seseorang pereka cipta yang membenarkan pada amalannya penyelesaian sesuatu masalah tertentu dalam bidang teknologi. (2) Sesuatu reka cipta mungkinnya atau boleh dikaitkan dengan sesuatu keluaran atau proses.
