Patents Act 1983 s 17
Sections 4–7 were repealed by later amendments.
For the purposes of this Part and any regulations made under this Act in relation to this Part, “utility innovation” means any innovation which creates a new product or process, or any new improvement of a known product or process, which is capable of industrial application, and includes an invention.
Takrif
Bagi maksud Bahagian ini dan mana-mana peraturan yang dibuat di bawah Akta ini berhubung dengan Bahagian ini, “perbaharuan utiliti” ertinya apa-apa perbaharuan yang mewujudkan suatu keluaran atau proses baharu, atau apa-apa perbaikan baharu sesuatu keluaran atau proses yang sedia diketahui, yang boleh digunakan untuk perindustrian, dan termasuklah sesuatu reka cipta.
