Protected Areas and Protected Places Act 1959 s 3

s 3 Authorization of guards and watchmen

The Inspector General of Police, any Chief Police Officer and any police officer of or above the rank of Assistant Superintendent empowered in that behalf by the Inspector General of Police or a Chief Police Officer, may authorize any person performing the duties of a guard or watchman in a protected area or a protected place to exercise the powers of an authorized officer under this Act.

Pemberian kuasa kepada pengawal dan jaga

Ketua Polis Negara, mana-mana Ketua Pegawai Polis dan manamana pegawai polis yang berpangkat Penolong Penguasa atau lebih tinggi yang diberi kuasa dalam hal itu oleh Ketua Polis Negara atau Ketua Pegawai Polis, boleh memberi kuasa kepada mana-mana orang yang menjalankan tugas-tugas pengawal atau jaga di dalam kawasan larangan atau tempat larangan untuk menjalankan kuasa seorang pegawai berkuasa di bawah Akta ini.
