s 34 Offences relating to registers
Any person who—
(a) being a Registrar, refuses or without reasonable cause omits to register any birth or death or presumed death or particulars concerning which information has been tendered to him by a qualified person under section 7 or 19 or a person under section 24A and which he is required by or under this Act to register; or
(b) being a person having the custody of any register carelessly loses or injures the register or allows the register to be injured,
shall be liable to a fine not exceeding twenty thousand ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding three years or to both.

Kesalahan berhubungan dengan daftar
Mana-mana orang yang–
(a) sebagai Pendaftar, enggan atau tanpa sebab yang munasabah gagal mendaftarkan mana-mana kelahiran atau kematian atau butir-butir mengenai maklumat yang mana telah diberikan kepadanya oleh pemberitahu yang layak
dan yang mana dia dikehendaki oleh atau di bawah Akta ini untuk mendaftarkannya; atau
(b) sebagai seorang yang menjaga mana-mana daftar dengan cuai menghilangkan atau merosakkan daftar itu atau membenarkan daftar itu dirosakkan,
boleh didenda sebanyak lima ratus ringgit.
