Births and Deaths Registration Act 1957 s 6

s 6 Inspection of registers, etc.

(1) Registers and indices shall not be open to inspection by the public. (2) A public officer may, in the performance of his duties and with the authorization of the Registrar-General, inspect the registers and indices.
