s 24 Certain prohibitions in respect of “University” or “University College”
(1) No person shall establish, manage or maintain a higher educational institution with the status of “University” or “University College” unless it is a higher educational institution established in accordance with the provisions of this Act or any other written law regulating its establishment.
(2) No higher educational institution or person shall issue to or confer on any person any degree or diploma purporting to be degree or diploma issued or conferred by a University or University College unless the issue or conferment is in accordance with the provisions of this Act or any other written law regulating its establishment.
(3) Any person who contravenes subsection (1) or (2) shall be guilty of an offence and shall on conviction be liable to a fine of five thousand ringgit or to imprisonment for a term of three years or to both.

(1) Tiada sa-siapa jua boleh menuboh, mengurus atau Larangan menyenggara sa-suatu yayasan pelajaran tinggi bertaraf terhadap "Universiti" atau "Kolej Universiti" melainkan ia-nya ada- "Universiti" atau "Kole . tinggi yang di-tubohkan Universiti" Ins/A#946 S46/AA1342 jua boleh mengeluarkan atau memberi kapada sa-siapa apa2 ijazah atau diploma yang berupa sa-bagai ijazah atau diploma Universiti Vang di-keluarkan atau di-beri oleh sa-suatu atau Kolej Universiti melainkan pengeluaran aea8) Saberta yu mengikangea soksheikachi ly ataui mum (ns/A7946 546/A4/342 sekshen-kechil (2) ada-lah melakukan suatu kesalahan dan apabila di-thabitkan boleh di-kenakan denda sa-banyak lima ribu ringgit atau penjara sa-lama tempoh tiga tahun atau kedua'-nya.
