Subject to any rules, the Director may exempt any person from any of the provisions of this Chapter where—
(a) the conversion plant under the charge or control of such person is situate within or adjacent to the licence area;
(b) the Director considers it more expedient to measure the forest produce after conversion; or
(c) the Director is satisfied that such exemption would not cause any loss of royalty or other revenue to the State Authority.

Pengecualian
Tertakluk kepada mana-mana kaedah, Pengarah boleh mengecualikan mana-mana orang daripada mana-mana peruntukan Bab ini jika—
(a) loji penukaran di bawah jagaan atau kawalan orang itu berada di dalam atau berhampiran dengan kawasan lesen itu;
(b) Pengarah memikirkan adalah lebih suai manfaat untuk mengukur hasil hutan itu selepas penukaran bentuk; atau
(c) Pengarah berpuas hati bahawa pengecualian itu tidak akan menyebabkan apa-apa kerugian royalti atau hasil lain kepada Pihak Berkuasa Negeri.
