s 19 Public pounds to be provided

(1) Public pounds shall be provided and pound-keepers appointed at such places as the Menteri Besar or Chief Minister in the State may direct. (2) Any person may and any police officer shall seize all horses, cattle, goats, sheep and pigs found picketed, tethered, or straying upon any public road or trespassing on any public or private property, and confine such animals in a public pound. (3) Any animal so impounded may be redeemed by the owner thereof within ten days after being so impounded on payment to the pound-keeper of such fee as is fixed from time to time by the Ruler or Yang di-Pertua Negeri and published in the Gazette and of the expenses of feeding the same while impounded according to the rate to be fixed from time to time by the Chief Police Officer of the State. (4) Any animal not so redeemed as aforesaid may be publicly sold by order of the Chief Police Officer, and the proceeds of such sale after deducting the said fee and the expenses of feeding shall be paid to the owner of such animal, or if not claimed within a period of three months after such sale shall be retained by the Chief Police Officer and paid into the Treasury. Penalty for pound breach (5) Any person who takes any animal out of a public pound without the knowledge and consent of the pound-keeper shall be liable to a fine not exceeding fifty ringgit. (6) Every pound-keeper shall be deemed to be a public servant within the meaning of the Penal Code [Act 574]. OTHER OFFENCES

(1) Paun awam hendaklah disediakan dan penjaga Paun paun dilantik bagi tempat-tempat sedemikian hendaklah sebagaimana Menteri Besar atau Ketua Menteri bagi disediakan. Negeri boleh arahkan.. P.U. 297/59.] (2) Mana-mana . orang boleh dan mana-mana pegawai polis hendaklah menyita semua kuda, lembu, kambing, kambing biri-biri dan babi yang dijumpai berkerumun, ditambat, atau berkeliaran di atas manamana jalan awam atau menceroboh masuk mana-mana harta awam atau persendirian, dan menahan haiwan itu di paun awam. (3) Mana-mana haiwan yang dipaun sedemikian olen dıtebus oleh tuan punyanya dalam masa sepulu! ari selepas dipaun sedemikian di atas pembayara kepada penjaga paun itu apa-apa fee sebagaimana yang ditetapkan dari semasa ke semasa oleh Raja atau Yang di-Pertua Negeri dan disiarkan dalam Warta dai erbelanjaan memberi makan haiwan semasa dipaur mengikut kadar yang akan ditetapkan dari semasa ke semasa oleh Ketua Pegawai Polis Negeri itu. :. IS. 19-20A] (4) Mana-mana haiwan yang tidak ditebus seperti yang disebut terdahulu boleh dijual kepada orang ramai melalui perintah Ketua Pegawai Polis, dan hasil daripada jualan tersebut selepas ditolak fee tersebut dan perbelanjaan memberi makan hendaklah dibayar kepada tuan punya haiwan tersebut, atau jika ıdak dıtuntut dalam tempoh tiga bulan selepa enjualan itu hendaklah disimpan oleh Ketua Pegawa Polis dan dibayar kepada Perbendaharaan. (5) Mana-mana orang yang mengeluarkan manamana haiwan daripada sesuatu paun awam tanpa pengetahuan dan izin daripada penjaga paun itu boleh dikenakan denda tidak melebihi lima puluh ringgit. (6) Tiap-tiap penjaga paun hendaklah disifatkan sebagai pengkhidmat awam dalam erti Kanun Keseksaan. Mayat dan orang yang hampir mati. Berkelakuan tak senonoh di mesyuarat awam.
