(1) This Act may be cited as the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Act 1988. (2) This Act shall come into force on a date to be appointed by the Minister by notification in the Gazette; and the Minister may appoint different dates for the coming into force of this Act, or of different provisions thereof, in different parts of Malaysia. Interpretation
(1) Akta ini bolehlah dinamakan Akta Pencegahan dan Pengawalan Penyakit Berjangkit 1988, dan adalah ringkas, pemakaian terpakai di seluruh Malaysia. dan mula berkuat- (2) Akta 'ini hendaklah mula berkuatkuasa pada kuasa. tarikh yang akan ditetapkan oleh Menteri melalui pemberitahuan dalam Warta; dan Menteri boleh menetapkan tarikh-tarikh yang berlainan bagi mula berkuatkuasanya Akta ini, peruntukanperuntukan yang berlainan di dalamnya, di bahagianbahagian yang berlainan di Malaysia.
