s 6 Declaration of infected area

(1) Whenever notification is received under the International Health Regulations that an infected area exists outside Malaysia, the Minister may by order in the Gazette declare such area to be an infected area for the purposes of this Act. (2) Notwithstanding the provisions of subsection (1), the Minister may, by order in the Gazette, declare any other area outside Malaysia to be an infected area. (3) The Minister may, by regulations made under this Act, prescribe the measures to be taken to prevent the introduction of any infectious disease into Malaysia from an infected area. (1) Bilamana pemberitahuan diterima di bawah Pengisytieraturan-feraturan Kesihatan Antarabangsa bahawa hara erdapat suatu kawasan jangkitan di luar Malaysia, javaktan Menteri boleh perintah dalam Warta mengisytiharkan kawasan itu sebagai suatu kawasan jangkitan bagi maksud Akta ini. (2) Walau apa pun peruntukan-peruntukan subseksyen (1), Menteri boleh, melalui perintah dalam Warta, mengisytiharkan mana-mana kawasan lain di luar Malaysia sebagai kawasan jangkitan. (3) Menteri boleh, melalui peraturan-peraturan yang dibuat di bawah Akta ini, menetapkan langkahlangkah yang hendak diambil untuk mencegah kemasukan apa-apa penyakit berjangkit dari sesuatu kawasan jangkitan.
