(1) Every retired police officer shall be a member of the Reserve if he is appointed as a police officer on or after the coming into force of the Act and he is a citizen at the time of his retirement. (2) This section shall not apply to any police officer who has been retired on grounds of ill health or physical or other disability.

(1) Tiap-tiap pegawai polis bersara hendaklah menjadi anggota Polis Simpanan jika dia dilantik menjadi seorang pegawai polis pada atau selepas berkuat kuasanya Akta ini dan dia adalah seorang warganegara pada masa persaraannya. (2) Seksyen ini tidaklah terpakai bagi mana-mana pegawai polis yang telah bersara atas sebab sakit atau kehilangan upaya jasmani atau kehilangan upaya lain.
