s 55 Mobilization of the Reserve
(1) The Reserve or any part thereof may be mobilized by an order of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong at any time when the security of
Malaysia is threatened or when a Proclamation of Emergency is issued.
(2) Subsection (1) shall not affect any reserve police officer who is a Member of Parliament or of the Legislative Assembly of a State or who holds a salaried appointment in the Government of Malaysia or of any State, for so long as he is such a Member or holds such appointment.

Pengerahan Polis Simpanan
(1) Polis Simpanan atau mana-mana bahagian daripadanya boleh dikerah dengan sesuatu perintah oleh Yang di-Pertuan Agong pada bila-bila masa apabila keselamatan Malaysia terancam atau apabila suatu Pengisytiharan Darurat dikeluarkan.
(2) Subseksyen (1) tidak akan melibatkan mana-mana pegawai polis simpanan yang adalah seorang Anggota Parlimen atau Dewan Perundangan sesuatu Negeri atau seseorang yang menyandang pelantikan bergaji dalam Kerajaan Malaysia atau kerajaan manamana Negeri, selama mana dia adalah seorang Anggota atau menyandang pelantikan itu.
