s 8 Extra police officers
(1) A Commissioner or Chief Police Officer may, with the approval of the Inspector General, employ persons to serve temporarily as extra police officers of or below the rank of Sergeant Major.
(2) An extra police officer shall be deemed to be under engagement to serve from month to month, every such engagement
being held to commence on the first and to be terminable on the last day of each successive month.
(3) An extra police officer may be discharged or may resign on being given or giving, by or to the Commissioner or Chief Police Officer one monthβs notice in writing.
(4) An extra police officer shall have and may exercise all the powers and privileges of, and shall be subject to the same authority and discipline as, a member of the Force of corresponding rank, and shall obey all lawful directions in respect of the execution of his duties which he may from time to time receive from his superior officers.

Pegawai polis tambahan
(1) Pesuruhjaya atau Ketua Pegawai Polis boleh, dengan kelulusan Ketua Polis Negara, mengambil kerja orang untuk berkhidmat secara sementara sebagai pegawai polis tambahan bagi pangkat Sarjan Mejar atau ke bawah.
(2) Seseorang pegawai polis tambahan hendaklah disifatkan sebagai di bawah perjanjian untuk berkhidmat dari sebulan ke sebulan, setiap perjanjian tersebut bermula pada satu hari bulan dan tamat pada hari terakhir pada tiap-tiap bulan yang berturutan.
(3) Seseorang pegawai polis tambahan boleh dilepaskan atau boleh meletak jawatan dengan diberi atau dengan memberi satu bulan notis bertulis oleh atau kepada Pesuruhjaya atau Ketua Pegawai Polis.
(4) Seseorang pegawai polis tambahan hendaklah mempunyai dan boleh menjalankan semua kuasa dan keistimewaan, dan hendaklah tertakluk kepada kuasa dan disiplin yang sama sebagai, seorang anggota Pasukan yang mempunyai pangkat yang bersamaan, dan hendaklah mematuhi semua arahan yang sah berkenaan dengan pelaksanaan tugasnya yang mungkin diterimanya dari semasa ke semasa daripada pegawai atasannya.
