s 9 Watch constables
(1) A Commissioner or Chief Police Officer may, with the approval of the Inspector General, on the application of any person (hereinafter in this section referred to as “the applicant”) for a constable to be employed on special duties, engage any suitable person as a watch constable for the purposes of such special duties only. Such watch constable shall be employed at the expense of the applicant, who shall provide such accommodation and sustenance for such watch constable as the Commissioner or Chief Police Officer may require, and may also be required to pay for any uniform supplied to such watch constable or such proportion thereof as the Commissioner or Chief Police Officer may determine:
Provided that the applicant may, on giving one month’s notice to the Commissioner or Chief Police Officer, require that such watch constable be withdrawn from such special duties, and, in such case, such applicant shall not be liable for any expense in connection with the employment of such watch constable incurred after the last day of the month following that in which the notice is given.
(2) Any amount due from an applicant under this section may be recovered by the Commissioner or Chief Police Officer as a debt, and, when received, shall be paid into the general revenues of Malaysia.
(3) A watch constable shall have and may exercise all the powers and privileges of, and shall be subject to the same authority and discipline as, a constable of the Force.

Konstabel penjaga
(1) Pesuruhjaya atau Ketua Pegawai Polis boleh, dengan kelulusan Ketua Polis Negara, atas permohonan oleh mana-mana orang (kemudian daripada ini, di dalam seksyen ini disebut sebagai “pemohon”) untuk seorang konstabel diambil bekerja dengan tugas
khas, mengambil kerja mana-mana orang yang sesuai sebagai konstabel penjaga bagi maksud tugas khas itu sahaja. Konstabel penjaga sedemikian hendaklah diambil kerja dengan perbelanjaan pemohon, yang hendaklah menyediakan tempat penginapan dan makanan untuk konstabel penjaga tersebut seperti yang dikehendaki oleh Pesuruhjaya atau Ketua Pegawai Polis dan bolehlah dikehendaki membayar bagi apa-apa pakaian seragam yang dibekalkan kepada konstabel penjaga tersebut atau mana-mana kadar dari itu yang boleh ditentukan oleh Pesuruhjaya atau Ketua Pegawai Polis:
Dengan syarat bahawa pemohon boleh, dengan memberi satu bulan notis kepada Pesuruhjaya atau Ketua Pegawai Polis, menghendaki supaya konstabel penjaga sedemikian ditarikh balik daripada menjalankan tugas khas tersebut, dan dalam keadaan sedemikian, pemohon hendaklah tidak bertanggungan bagi apa-apa perbelanjaan yang ditanggung berkaitan dengan pengambilan konstabel penjaga tersebut selepas hari terakhir bulan berikut di mana notis tersebut telah diberikan ke dalam hasil am Persekutuan.
(2) Apa-apa amaun yang kena dibayar daripada seorang pemohon di bawah seksyen ini boleh didapatkan oleh Pesuruhjaya atau Ketua Pegawai Polis sebagai hutang, dan, apabila diterima, hendaklah dibayar ke dalam hasil am Persekutuan.
(3) Seseorang konstabel penjaga hendaklah mempunyai dan boleh menjalankan semua kuasa dan keistimewaan, dan hendaklah tertakluk kepada kuasa dan disiplin yang sama sebagai, seorang konstabel Pasukan.
