Houses of Parliament (Privileges and Powers) Act 1952 s 18

s 18 Examination of witnesses upon oath

The House or any committee may require that any facts, matters, and things relating to the subject of enquiry before the House or such committee be verified or otherwise ascertained by the oral examination of witnesses, and may cause any such witnesses to be examined upon oath which the President, or the Chairman of the committee or person specially appointed for that purpose may administer.

Pemeriksaan saksi atas sumpah

Majlis atau mana-mana jawatankuasa boleh menghendaki supaya apa-apa fakta, perkara, dan benda yang berhubungan dengan subjek siasatan di hadapan Majlis atau jawatankuasa itu ditentusahkan atau dipastikan selainnya dengan pemeriksaan lisan saksi, dan boleh menyebabkan mana-mana saksi itu diperiksa atas sumpah yang bolehlah dikendalikan oleh Yang Dipertua, atau Pengerusi jawatankuasa, atau orang yang dilantik khas bagi maksud itu.
