s 10 Jurisdiction of Sessions Court

(1) Notwithstanding any other written law to the contrary, a Sessions Court shall have jurisdiction to try all offences under this Act, except offences under section 3 or 3A , and to impose for any offence so tried the full punishment or penalty provided for that offence by this Act, except the penalty of death. (2) Notwithstanding subsection (1), the High Court shall have jurisdiction to try any case in respect of any offence under this Act, if the Public Prosecutor requires any such case to be tried by the High Court. Bidang kuasa Mahkamah Sesyen

(1) Walau apa pun undang-undang bertulis lain yang berlawanan, Mahkamah Sesyen mempunyai bidang kuasa untuk membicarakan semua kesalahan di bawah Akta ini, kecuali kesalahan di bawah seksyen 3 atau 3A , dan untuk mengenakan bagi apa-apa kesalahan yang dibicarakan itu hukuman atau penalti penuh yang diperuntukkan bagi kesalahan tersebut oleh Akta ini, kecuali hukuman mati. (2) Walau apa pun peruntukan subseksyen (1), Mahkamah Tinggi mempunyai bidang kuasa untuk membicarakan sesuatu kes mengenai sesuatu kesalahan di bawah Akta ini, jika Pendakwa Raya menghendaki mana-mana kes seperti itu dibicarakan oleh Mahkamah Tinggi.
