s 2 Interpretation
(1) In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires—
“Commission” means, as the case may be, the Public Services Commission, the Judicial and Legal Service Commission, the Police Service Commission, or the Education Service Commission.
(2) In Parts II and III, references to a Commission shall be construed as including references to any Commission of a State, corresponding in status and jurisdiction to the Public Services Commission, whose jurisdiction extends to persons in the public service of the State; and in such context, references to the Yang di- Pertuan Agong and to the Government shall be construed as including references to the Ruler and to the Government of the State, as the circumstances may require.

(1) Dalam Akta ini, melainkan jika konteksnya Tafsiran. menghendaki makna yang lain— "Suruhanjaya" ertinya, mengikut mana-mana yang berkenaan, Suruhanjaya Perkhidmatan Awam, Suruhanjaya Perkhidmatan Kehakiman dan Perundangan, Suruhanjaya Perkhidmatan Polis, atau Suruhanjaya Perkhidmatan Pendidikan.
(2) Dalam Bahagian II dan III sebutan-sebutan mengenai Suruhanjaya hendaklah diertikan sebagai termasuk sebutan-sebutan mengenai" mana-mana Suruhanjaya sesuatu Negeri, yang bersamaan taraf dan bidang kuasanya dengan Suruhanjaya Perkhidmatan Awam, yang bidang kuasanya diperluaskan kepada
[Senarai Pin SENA N 74 tal [Bah. I-Ill, S. 2-5] orang-orang di dalam perkhidmatan awam Negeri itu; dan dalam konteks sedemikian sebutan-sebutan mengenai Yang di-Pertuan Agong dan mengenai Kerajaan hendaklah diertikan sebagai termasuk sebutan-sebutan mengenai Raja dan mengenai Kerajaan Negeri itu, mengikut kehendak hal keadaan.
