s 7 Influencing or attempting to influence Commission

Every person who, otherwise than in the course of his duty, directly or indirectly by himself or by any other person in any manner whatsoever influences or attempts to influence any decision of a Commission or any member thereof shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable to imprisonment for a term of two years or to a fine of two thousand ringgit or to both: Provided that nothing in this section shall prohibit any person from giving a certificate or testimonial to any applicant or candidate for any public office or from supplying any information or assistance upon formal request made by a Commission.

Tiap-tiap orang yang, selain daripada dalam Memmenjalankan tugasnya, secara langsung atau tidak pengaruhi langsung dengan sendiri atau melalui mana-mana orang mempengalain dengan apa-apa cara mempengaruhi atau cuba ruhi Suruhanjaya. mempengaruhi apa-apa keputusan Suruhanjaya atau mana-mana ahlinya adalah melakukan suatu kesalahan [Bah. III-IV, S. 7-10] dan boleh dipenjara selama tempoh dua tahun atau denda dua ribu ringgit atau kedua-duanya: Dengan syarat bahawa tiada apa-apa jua dalam seksyen ini boleh menghalang mana-mana orang memberi perakuan atau surat perakuan kepada manamana pemohon atau calon untuk mana-mana jawatan awam atau menghalang mana-mana orang membekal apa-apa maklumat atau bantuan atas permintaan formal yang dibuat oleh Suruhanjaya.
