A Board shall not direct the payment of any benefit to a person unless he has made a claim for such benefit in accordance with the regulations made in that behalf and section 86: Provided that if the Board is satisfied that there was reasonable excuse for not making a claim for the benefit within the prescribed period, it may direct the payment of the benefit as if the claim had been made in time.
Faedah tidak boleh dibenarkan melainkan jika dituntut dalam masa yang sepatutnya
Sesuatu Jemaah tidak boleh mengarahkan pembayaran apaapa faedah kepada seseorang melainkan jika orang itu telah membuat tuntutan untuk faedah itu mengikut peraturan yang dibuat bagi maksud itu dan seksyen 86: Dengan syarat bahawa jika Jemaah berpuas hati bahawa ada sebab yang berpatutan mengapa tuntutan tidak dibuat dalam tempoh yang ditetapkan, Jemaah boleh mengarahkan pembayaran faedah itu seolah-olah tuntutan telah dibuat dalam masa yang sepatutnya.
