The Minister may, by notification in the Gazette and subject to such conditions as may be specified in the notification, exempt any industry or class of industries in any specified area from the operation of this Act for a period not exceeding one year and may from time to time by like notification renew any such exemption, for periods not exceeding one year at a time.
Pengecualian bagi perusahaan atau kelas perusahaan
Menteri boleh, melalui pemberitahuan dalam Warta dan tertakluk kepada apa-apa syarat sebagaimana yang dinyatakan dalam pemberitahuan itu, mengecualikan mana-mana perusahaan atau kelas perusahaan dalam mana-mana kawasan yang tertentu daripada kuat kuasa Akta ini bagi tempoh selama tidak lebih daripada satu tahun dan boleh dari semasa ke semasa melalui pemberitahuan yang serupa membaharui pengecualian tersebut, bagi tempoh selama tidak lebih daripada satu tahun pada sesuatu masa.
