The Federation of Malaya Air Training Corps Ordinance, 1950, and the Federation of Malaya Cadet Corps Ordinance, 1952, are hereby repealed: Provided that- (a) all subsidiary legislation made under the Ordinances hereby repealed and in force immediately before the commencement of this Act shall, in so far as it is not inconsistent with the provisions of this Act, remain in force and apply to all members of the Force until other provisions are made under this Act; (b) all persons who immediately before the commencement of this Act were officers commissioned or persons enrolled under the Ordinances so repealed shall, with their consent and with the approval of the appropriate authority, be deemed to be officers appointed or persons enrolled under this Act, as the case may be; and the officers and persons so deemed to be appointed and enrolled, respectively,shall have MALAYSIAN COMBINED CADET FORCE a rank and seniority not less favourable than those accorded to them immediately before the commencement of this Act. For the purpose of paragraph (b) the expression "appropriate authority" in relation to any approval to be given ünder that paragraph means the Yang di-Pertuan Agong in the case of officers commissioned, and the Minister in the case of persons enrolled, under the Ordinances repealed aforesaid.
