s 30 Prohibition of the use of the word “Fishermen’s Association”

(1) No person, society or association other than a Fishermen’s Association registered under this Act shall trade or carry on business under any name or title of which the word “Fishermen’s Association” is part without the sanction of the Minister: Provided that nothing in this section shall apply to the use by any person, society or association or his or the successor in interest of any name or title under which trade or business has been carried on at the commencement of this Act. (2) Any person who contravenes the provisions of this section shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable to a fine not exceeding one hundred ringgit, and, in the case of a continuing offence, to a further fine of five ringgit for each day during which the offence continues.

Dilarang menggunakan perkataan “Persatuan Nelayan”

(1) Tiada seseorang, sesuatu pertubuhan atau persatuan, selain Persatuan Nelayan yang didaftarkan di bawah Akta ini, boleh berniaga atau menjalankan urusan dengan apa-apa nama atau gelaran yang mengandungi perkataan “Persatuan Nelayan” tanpa kebenaran Menteri: Dengan syarat bahawa tiada apa-apa jua dalam seksyen ini boleh terpakai terhadap penggunaan oleh mana-mana orang, persatuan atau pertubuhan atau penggantinya yang berkepentingan apa-apa nama atau gelaran yang digunakan bagi perniagaan atau urusan yang dijalankan pada masa Akta ini mula berkuat kuasa. (2) Mana-mana orang yang melanggar peruntukan seksyen ini adalah melakukan suatu kesalahan dan boleh didenda tidak melebihi satu ratus ringgit, dan, bagi suatu kesalahan yang berterusan, didenda tambahan sebanyak lima ringgit bagi setiap hari kesalahan itu diteruskan.
