Railways Act 1991 s 31
It shall be the duty of every railway company— (a) to provide railway services and facilities specified in its licence to such extent as is necessary for the railway company to meet any standard of performance determined by the Director General under this Act; and (b) to develop and maintain an efficient railway system.
Kewajipan syarikat keretapi
(1) Adalah menjadi kewajipan tiap-tiap syarikat keretapi— (a) untuk menyediakan perkhidmatan dan kemudahan keretapi yang dinyatakan dalam lesennya pada takat yang perlu bagi syarikat keretapi itu memenuhi apa-apa standard prestasi yang ditetapkan oleh Ketua Pengarah di bawah Akta ini; dan (b) untuk memajukan dan menyenggarakan suatu sistem keretapi yang cekap.
