s 5 Tenure of office
(1) Subject to subsection (2), a member who is appointed or elected under subsection 4(1) or (2) shall hold office for a term of three years and is eligible for reappointment or re-election.
(2) The Minister shall, in appointing the members referred to in paragraphs 4(2)(c), (d) and (e), ensure that the term of office of one of the members to be appointed under each of such paragraphs expires one year earlier than the term of office of the other member appointed under the same paragraph.
(3) Where the office of a member becomes vacant before the expiration of his term of office, the person appointed or elected to fill the vacancy shall hold office for the unexpired portion of the term of office of the member whose office has become vacant.

Tempoh Pemegangan jawatan
(1) Tertakluk pada subseksyen (2), seseorang anggota yang dilantik atau dipilih di bawah subseksyen 4(1) atau (2) hendaklah memegang jawatan selama tempoh tiga tahun dan layak dilantik atau dipilih semula.
(2) Menteri hendaklah, pada melantik anggota yang disebut dalam perenggan 4(2)(c), (d) dan (e), memastikan bahawa tempoh jawatan seorang daripada anggota yang dilantik di bawah setiap perenggan itu habis tempoh satu tahun lebih awal daripada tempoh jawatan anggota yang satu lagi yang dilantik di bawah perenggan yang sama.
(3) Jika jawatan seseorang anggota menjadi kosong sebelum habis tempoh jawatannya, orang yang dilantik atau dipilih untuk mengisi kekosongan itu hendaklah memegang jawatan selama tempoh jawatan yang belum habis bagi anggota yang jawatannya telah menjadi kosong itu.
